Johnny L. Woodruff is a 1983 graduate of Southern College in Collegedale, Tennessee, as well as a 1994 graduate of the University of Memphis, where he obtained his law degree.

In subsequent years, Johnny L. Woodruff has gone on to win numerous regional and national awards. Mr. Woodruff was a finalist and was named "Best Oral Advocate" by the Cecil C. Humphrey's School of Law Mock Trial Competition in 1993. Mr. Woodruff was also a regional finalist in 1994's National Mock Trial Competition.
